Client Needs & Solution:
A coastal cleanup organization needed to process saltwater-contaminated fishing nets (nylon) and HDPE floats. Material variability and corrosion were key concerns.
We implemented:
- Corrosion-resistant single shaft shredder (316L stainless steel version)
- Special “hook tooth” rotor design for fibrous materials
- Sealed bearing system with washdown protection
- 30mm output size for pyrolysis feed
Performance:
System handles 5 tons/day of mixed marine plastics with 50% less maintenance than standard models. Salt-resistant features extended component life by 3x.
